Suprise Snow

We had a bit of a surprise snowstorm today, which helped extend out travel time to Newton this morning out to about 1 hour and 15 minutes. The weather people all said we might get a dusting, but when we headed out at 9:30 AM there was already about three inches on the ground and there weren't any plows out cleaning up the roads. It ended up snowing all day and we probably ended up with about 4-5 inches in Merrimac.

Yesterday we went over to Newburyport for breakfast and ran several errands before returning home for the afternoon. I re-wrapped the plastic on the back porch, originally I had put the plastic on the outside, but after every windy day I had to keep stapling the plastic back up. So I switched it so each panel is now individually wrapped, its not as airtight, but should do the job.

Here are some photos from the weekend:

Feeling Better

I am feeling a lot better although I do have a nasty cough. Not much to say except congratulations to Jamison on her first steps, Kaleb is going to be right behind you. I have intensified his training program so he should be up and walking in 2 weeks.

Here are some photos from yesterday and today. The first is my favorite it is from yesterday when Jennifer tried to put Kaleb down for a nap in his crib. Unfortunately after 10 minutes of crying he realized he could just stand up so I took a photo of him through the crack in the door.

Sickness All Around

Kaleb: Day 337

Well Kaleb was sick a couple weeks ago and then late last week Jennifer was sick, well lucky for me I am now doing my family duty and have started feeling sick. I don't have an upset stomach, but I do have a fever and I am quite achy. Hopefully it will pass quickly and I will be able to move on with my life.

We were lucky enough to have a visitor stay with us this weekend, Nonna drove up on Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately, Sir was stuck at work so he couldn't make the trip up. We have had a lovely visit thus far and I am sure it will continue until tomorrow when she has to return home.

Today we went to the Starboard Galley in Newburyport for lunch and Kaleb had his first pickle. One would think that he would have cringed at first taste, but he just loved it. You will see some photos in the album of his first pickle experience.

Okay, bye for now.

One More Month To Go

Kaleb: Day 331

Kaleb: Day 335

Yep that is right our little boy is now eleven months old. It is amazing how far he has come. The poor thing has had diarrhea the past few days which isn't fun for anybody, although he doesn't seem to mind. Its been a crazy week here, first there was a snow storm which cancelled school on Monday, Tuesday my mom had jury duty so I watched Kaleb, Wednesday we refinanced our mortgage and yesterday Jennifer came down with a bad stomach bug. Now we are moving into a long weekend, well at least for Jennifer since I have to work on Monday. It does look like it will be another busy weekend. Nonna and Sir are coming down this afternoon and will spend the night, I also have to do a ton of work this weekend. Besides all of that not much else is going on, we are just trying to stay warm.

Warm Weekend

It was another warm January weekend, but apparently all that is going to change tonight when the heavy snow starts to fall. We are supposed to get over a foot of the white stuff, they are so certain Jennifer's school was cancelled at 7pm tonight. I don't know if I reported it here yet, but Kaleb has an ear infection. We brought him to the doctor on Tuesday because of his nasty dry cough and the doctor said he had an ear infection. He is now on Amoxicilin(sp?) and has been doing well, he never really complained about it in the first place so it is hard to say if it is truly getting better.

Yesterday we took a trip up to Exeter for lunch and then took a nice long back road drive home. I then did a little work on the house, by taking apart some of the rotting wooden shelving structure in the basement. I am not sure of the support it provides for the living room floor so I left the four by fours up, but the rotten wood is now out of the basement and hopefully once we get a dehumidifier the place will be a little drier.

Today Jamison and Megan came over in the morning for a little play date. The two kids played well together and at one point Kaleb even pushed Jamison around in his wagon. It was really cute as you will soon see from the video. We went over to Newburyport for lunch and settled on Not Your Average Joes. It was yummy and filling. We came home afterwards and hung out here until it was time to go over to Pepe's house for Mike's birthday. Kaleb was very well behaved over there and was wandering all over on his hands and knees. It was great to see everybody over there and it has been a while since I have been so full.

For now I am going to say good bye but should have some good photos of the snow tomorrow.

34,000 Words

Kaleb: Day 315

New Years 2008

Well they say that a picture is worth a thousand words so here is 34 pictures each worth a thousand words. The New Year was good, except that Kaleb is now sick and has had a cold for the last ten days. It started with a runny nose and then he started coughing, fortunately the runny nose has stopped but the hacking cough continues. Besides that he has been doing well and is more mobile than ever. He gets into everything now and despite our calls of "No" he still proceeds to do it, but with an additional head shake.

And now for the photos...
